Couple Invert Questions

Hey all,

I just added some additions to my clean up crew.

4 peppermint shrimp
3 emerald crabs
25 turbo snails
20 blue leg hermits.
Clam ????? Have no Idea. (looks like one you would buy to eat. At least the shell anyway.)

I want to see what everyone thought as this crew was bought by a friend and he took some stuff and sold me what I have listed above. Now my questions.

I put the 4 pepermint shrimp in and from what I can my fish got at least one of them maybe two. Do sixline and other wrasps eat these?

What is the deal with emerald crabs? Nice to have???????

BTW My tank is a 120

 

in my experience i had one emerald crag and i wont do it again he used to walk off with my polyps i didnt like that at all also you might wanna get some nassarius snails they are a nice addition but other then that sounds good so far

 

They devour bubble algae, as well as several other types.

 

Some folks like emerald crabs. I've been told to be wary of them, as they grow they can catch fish. My LFS had a nice sized emerald given back to him after he had an expensive lunch. I can't remember what kind of fish, but it was perfectly healthy when he met his demise.

I would never know I had a peppermint shrimp - he only comes out at night, but is fun to watch with a flashlight after the lights go off. Not sure if a wrasse would eat one though.
