I just bought some live rock recently to start up my salt water tank and a little creature came with it.

I have really only seen it's two claws but am worried that it may be harmful to my hermit crabs (and when I add fish)!? I would not like to lose any of the little guys so if anyone could help that would be great.

This is the best picture I could get of him.

It's not green though do the color of emerald craps vary? cause it seems to be a dark brown black color.

how are we sure its a emerald already? nothin was said on shape of the claws, size, or even color for that matter. the pic really doesnt show anything to prove it is a emerald.

It looks about 2 inches, black with what looks like a white vertical strip on the joint of the claw. I haven't seen much of it only the claws and the "arm" of it. have yet to see the body
