mhmmmm we've had lots of people commit suicide on them, and people say that the draininge ditch tunnel wich is right next to my house is haunted, dont know if thats true or not, probably just a bunch of bored kids who would get high and drunk and hang out in there :D

oh also another thing about the crawfish, they reallly do breed in the ditch, we've had their claws in our yard in the past, and birds go diving down to the water if they see them

We used to use minnow nets or our hands.

If you ever come in town, give me a shout. nothing like some fried gator, charbroiled oysters and boiled mudbugs;D

Puffer, that mudbug you found is DEFFINATELY cooked. As for how to catch them, you use a crawfish net;D lol. If you cant find those, use a crab net and weave some more string through the net, to make the holes smaller. then get some chicken livers, put it in the middle of the net, drop it in and let it sit for about 30 minutes or so. then pull the net in really really fast and pick the mudders off of it and throw them in your ice chest.

I really doubt you will catch enough to eat though, if you really want some i can ship some live to you (i live in new orleans) along with all the REAL seasonings

i promis they are not cooked, because all of the other crawfish parts that we have found were all red, and i know for a fact nobody around this area eats crawfish and just dumps them for the birds to get and just happen to land in our yard, the birds like to sit on fence and eat.

would be pretty awesome though if i could try that and actually catch antyhing

lol and its ok you dont have to send any over, my sister lives in Crowely with her Fiance and i can easily go over for some good crawfish :D bet its cheaper that way too :D

Not saying your wrong, but i have never in my life seen a red crawfish like that BEFORE being cooked. with that said, i have seen some very freaky things in my lifetime lol

good luck with the crawfishing, in a 4 mille long, 30 foot wide ditch, spending about 6 hours, we get just enough to make 1 boil....so be prepared to spend some time;) oh and good luck!
