OK so I just got home to have my brother corner me. Apparently, my eyelash blenny decided to become a jumper today. Even more bizarre, he somehow made it into my brothers room after jumping. A good 15-20 foot journey. He found him, and described him as being really dry, but still alive. He immediately tossed him back into the tank. Looking at the blenny now he seems fine, no worse for wear (tough fish). But the adventure into a completely different room puzzles me. Any one ever hear/experience anything like this?

I was just thinking this might even be crazier, but if he hadn't have made that journey, he would have been dead for sure, as know one would have found him in time.

It obviously wasnt his time. He was in desperate need to find somebody to put him back into that tank. he was succesful, and hopefully he learned from his mistake.
I wonder how long the whole journey actually lasted?

I was wondering that as well. Long enough to make the journey (had to go under two doors to do it), and from what I hear, dry up pretty good in the process. There's no way to know exactly how long for sure though

I can tell you a story from my experience.

I have one of those danged "african clawed frogs". Just so you know, the aquarium he is in has no where for him to leave the water; he's a purely in the water frog (unlike what you see every day). So for him to jump is crazy. But he does because he's stupid. So I've seen this thing on my wood floors around his tank. He's helpless. Just squiggles around, right.

So one day I wake up to get ready for work. I sleep like just a few feet from my bathroom door, it's right next to my bed. And at least 40 feet from the aquarium. But it's still a large area. I swing my feet over and walk to the bathroom. My left foot steps on something (I'm still basically asleep at this point). I stop, look at my foot, see nothing, put foot back down, and there it is again. I look down and it's that danged frog! (if you didn't know where this was going, I'm sorry for the disgusting surprise right there).

Covered in lint and hair and what not and fricking alive! However, getting fairly dry and slow.

But of the entire downstairs at his command, he finds his way to exactly the right spot for this to happen. Not dead under the couch or behind a shelf or somewhere my wife would find it first. Nope, under my foot. Stupid frog.

HA. To this day I've never had a fish escape the tank since my first 10 gallon 2 years ago. Better be careful tomorrow now that I said that though.
