I was looking in my tank this evening and saw King Bristleworm, whom I've been trying to get rid of. I sucked him up with a turkey baster and decided what to do. Then, I realized that there were aiptasia everywhere, and decided to see if a big one would eat him.

It did. It grabbed his body and stuffed the bristleworm in its mouth. The worm was flailing at one end of its body while the other end was being digested by aiptasia juices. Serves him right.

I have a crappy picture of the event if anyone is interested.

I'd be more worried by far about the aiptasia than the bristlworms. And I/we would love a pic.

I just looked at the picture, and you can't tell what's going on at all. I'm thinking of getting some peppermints to take care of the aiptasia.

The aiptasia was about 1.5" in diameter, and the bristleworm was about 2" long. I just checked on the aiptasia, and it lost. The bristleworm shredded its way out, and the aiptasia's mouth is hanging open ripped apart. A couple of its tentacles are shriveled up. Serves it right.

The only problem I see with that is you have more than likely prompted the aiptasia to spread. It's called releasing planulas.
