Month old tank with a few Chromis and two clowns, 2-peppermint and a sand star (jury is out as to whether this was smart or not..) I purchased a few coral frags that my LFS said were good starters. I have a Life glo and Marine glo bulb over my tank. Do I need to switch the life glo to power glow?

All tank parameters remain totally steady (seeded the tank with 33lbs of live rock when i started it. PH is a tad low at 7.8 but it is easy enough to fix.

I would switch to another brand like ATI, UVL or Geisemann. Also you will need to test you calcium, magnesium and alkalinity if you got any LPS or SPS.

What corals did you get? What size tank? How much flow?

Good corals to start and will do fine under your light. Try and get your circulation to 10 to 20 times the tank volume this just helps in so many ways. The trumpet is an LPS you might want to test monthly to make sure your alkalinity stays above 7 dKH, your calcium above 360ppm and your magnesium above 1250ppm.

Good, but raise your ph a little ,just above 8 and slow down a bit to let your bacteria colonize and catch up.

Thank you both. Do I need to feed them if so, how long after they enter the tank, with what and how. It seems a little backward to ask, but things always seem easy in the store...and then you read.
