How's this CUC for a new 55g reef?

    1 Florida "Fighting" Conch
    10 Nassarius Vibrex
    12 Nerite snails(large)
    12 assorted Hermits

Eventually I'll add a longspine urchin.

It is a good start, but you will most likely need more. Go to reefcleaners.org, fill out the form and see what is suggested.

I would add like 20 cerith snails & 30 blue leg hermits and 1 emerald crab to the list.

Easiest thing is to contact John at Reefcleaners.org and he will set it all up for you. He is a master at it!!!

good start,i would add a bunch of dwarf ceriths to that crew(as they get into all the little nooks and crannys, but i agree with the others as well, email John,he can customise your crew for you,you can also let him know you want a conch and will work it so that it's included.:)

I have that (minus an urchin, not enough room for a long spine in a 55 IMO). I also have about 10 FL Ceriths and 150 dwarf ceriths (yeah 150), and about 30 dwarf planaxis maybe. You won't want just large nerites, you need them in various sizes. 2 smalls are better than 1 big sort of thing.

Thanks, I guess I'll be emailing "John". Reefcleaners.org is actually where I picked all these from. I didn't know there was a way to have it pre-setup for my size tank. I don't want an actual longspine urchin. There's a variety of urchin that looks just like a longspine, but stays much smaller(real longspine urchins grow to 10").
