    I'm getting a tank from a family member tomorrow. It's between 52-54 gallons and apparently has some algae. If I were to buy a quick cleanup crew from reefcleaners.org, what size tank should it be for, as I've heard that he sends a lot more than what you order.

    It really depends on the type of algae you have as to what will combat it.

    Okay, so we picked it up. We siphoned the majority of the water into 5 gallon containers and wiped almost all of the algae off of the tank. It looks like it is around 55 gallons. We might turn it into a predator tank. Ideas?

    You will be very limited on the predators you can safely house as most get quite large.Dwarf lions would probably be your best choice.;)

    I'm still debating whether or not to make it a predator tank instead of a reef.
