Any one have problem with current light fixtures? I have a 36" four bulb extreme, newer version with out moon lights. I just got it back from having new ballast and new wiring done by current. After a week of use, the side with day lighting keeps cutting out. I had the fixture for less then 6 months and already had it completely rewired and both ballast replaced. What is a good alternative to current. I have brand new bulbs so i need a fixture with out bulbs. I am to the point of having Current sending me a new fixture but not sure if they will.

I'm done with Current as well, their LED lights started a bad algae and dino problem in my nanocube. I also have a Nova Extreme which still works well after a year, but their bulbs lasted about 5 months when I saw cyano growth. I changed the bulbs to UVL and the cyano died off. I would suggest ATI, Geisemann, or Sunlight TEK light fixtures; ATI, Geisemann, or UVL for the bulbs.

I've read about alot of people having problems with that kind of light. I've had an Aquaticlife T5 HO fixture for about 4 months now, love it! One power cord, built in timer controls actinics, daylight and moon lights.

only anecdotal, but i've had a current fixture with 150 MH's (2) and 4 t5 48" bulbs up and running for 2 years. no problems. great customer service (had a problem with hanging hardware and they sent me replacement stuff no questions asked).

I have a current USA nova extreme 4x54 t5 (mine has individual reflectors). It has been a good fixture so far but the bulbs that come with it are crapola, I replaced them with 2 ATI Blue+ and 2 ATI blue specials. My SPS has really taken off since, especially my two birds nest corals. I've heard about other fixtures being of better quality but I untill I have a problem, Current USA is good in my book.

I did swithc the bulbs to the Giesemann Powerchrome True Blue+ and Pure Actinic. Short time working, love this set up. coral perked right up.

Current USA has contacted me and will be sending me a new fixture, so very happy with their customer service

I've got two from Current. Both are the Nova Extreme Pros. One 72" and one 36". Agree the bulbs that come with the fixture are junk, but other than that haven't had any trouble with them. I did have a support leg get bent on the 72" and Current sent out two new ones immediately. Definitely great customer service.

36" Nova Extreme Pro 6X39 T5HO. I ditched the stock bulbs for ATI,UVL and GE. I've never had a problem with it and would buy another if I ever set up another reef tank under 24" deep.

I have a 6x54W nova extreme pro and it's doing great... as everyone else has stated, I have changed the bulbs for a mixture of Geissman, ATI, and UVL.

I have a 36" Current USA Sundial fixture. I've been running it for 7 months now and it works great. Never have a problem with it. Of course its just crappy T5's so it won't ever be anything special but it does what it was advertised to do.
