Okay so I finished adding salt last thursday (6 days ago). I went to petco today and purchased a SW testing kit (Nitrates/ites, ph, alkilinity) and an ammonia test kit. Everything is measuring/reading ideal.

    Is this possible???

I never added fish/fish food or other ammonia catalysts, i just let it run with my crushed coral and live rock...is it necessary to add raw fish/shrimp?

Yeah, you do need to add something. If you don't feed the bacteria, they won't spread.

If you are using all mature live rock and cc, they should be there already so the cycle will be shorter. But better to take the time and feed the bacteria so they're ready for the load rather than take the chance of losing fish.

If everything is ideal nothing may have happened and you might have nitrates in your tap water. Test your regular water and see If the results differ

So when you say you finished adding salt last Thursday, do you mean filling the tank up with saltwater (that you premixed) or did you fill the tank with fresh and then add salt directly to the tank?
