Thanks Jmanyoma. I was considering doing a water change this weekend. I'm definitely doing it now. I haven't seen my nitrites budge for a while. I know the cycle takes a while but there has been no sign of the nitrates moving down. I know that they have peaked out already but nothing the other way

i was going to give it @ least another week before i done anything to my tank... i thought about a water change but everyone i talked to said that all my levels will spike & go down.. so im pretty positive everything shud be completed within a week... ive kind of been anal retentive & tested parameters daily... so i definetly know whats going on...

Salty I haven't been running my lights either. Wierd, there isn't a day that doesn't go by that I am not checking my levels as well. I've gotten mixed feedback on water changes. I haven't done one yet but I'm still considering what I will actually do. My numbers haven't moved, down at all. Since I test daily I've seen how they have climbed but no sign of them going down yet.

    Cycle completed

Hey everyone. It looks like my tank completed it's cycle. It has been reading for the last 4 days
    Ammonia 0 ppm
    Nitrite 0 ppm
    Nitrate 0 ppm
    Ph 7.5
    Temp 78.5
    Gravity 1.024

My Ph has been at the same for the entire cycle. I haven't tested the cal, alk or mag yet but I will be doing that today.

What if the test read normal? (within range) Any ideas??;D

I don't want to use buffers.
