I just purchased some cyclop-eeze and was wondering exactly how to use it so that my corals get it the best way.

I spot feed my acan, favias, etc. every three days or so and I really only want to use this as a way to make feeding easier because I thought you could just mix some in a cup and toss it in.

Is this true? Will the corals eat it this way or will I have to spot feed them with it?

    Thanks.

yeah, it works either way... they can either catch the stuff before or after a fish digests it lol

It's been a long time Dingo! How have you been?

So I want to dump it in at night when the favia, candy cane, plate, acan, have their feeder tentacles out. So just dump it in? No worries about turning any power heads off or anything?

Thats what I do, allow the water movement to carry it (broadcast feeding)
I feed it during the evening , start with a small QTY and the corals get a sense of it being in the water and those with feeder tentacles may well expand them at this stage

once everything in the tank is aware of it, then I add the balance that I had soaking in the glass of water

Works either way, My softies love when I feed them that, I tend to spot feed when I feed it to my LPS corals. I would say till a system is packed spot feed after you have enough corals/fish to consume it without leaving to much left over then add to the system.

You can try turning off the power heads, use a turkey baster and direct the cyclops at the desired corals. All corals get a decent shot at it that way. After about 20 minutes I turn the power heads back on. Just one way to do it.
