So I am trying make my tank better and set it up right for once. It is a 30-35 gallon tank, with atleast 50lbs of rock. I only have one powerhead in an upper corner (not sure how powerful or where to look to find out). I KNOW there is several dead spots with in the tank. But to eliminate most of them, I will need an additional 2 powerheads. (one behind the rocks and 1 lower in the tank. Is there a thing as too much movement? Do I go with some of the smallest powerheads since I am just getting additional ones?

*sorry, I edited to fix, I meant powerheads, not wavemakers*

no there really is not a thing of to much water movement.

how ever when you say wave makers are you talking about a powerhead. b/c if so they are to different things, and if you wanted to clear up all of your dead spots here is the thing that you need.

For a tank that size I'd say the mp10 as well. The low visual profile will be better for that size tank. Larger tanks hide the other power heads better. The mp10 along w the other power head should be good. Move them around in different spots to find the best flow to work with your rock structure.

How much flow do you currently have in your tank? How many powerheads (and how many gph are each rated for)?
