Well guys since this new 75g build is underway, ive been thinking alot when im at work about things. I want a complete stand alone fuge and now decided since I would have to build out from my stand by 3ft on each side that I would have an empty side. What better way to utilize that area by having another 10g tank for fragging. The sump will be in the middle to hold all my equipment and return but on each opposite end a fuge and frag tank. Yes i know 10g are hard to drill with a drill saw but are cake with a dremel. I have a local friend that drills them all the time so hes gonna make 2 10g drilled tanks for me.

Lol its kinda funny because the more this tank stays empty the more my mind is racing with ideas, this build went for a 300 dollar upgrade to well over 1k and its not even runnign yet. Have you guys ever had problems like this, I mean I love my idea for this new tank but dang now its getting out of control. O ya the frag tank will be run into the system for a total water volume of 125g total water which is pretty good considering im a 2nd floor resident but it will be spread out over 6 beams and on a corner wall. Lol god i hate reefing sometimes, im scared when me and the wifey buy a house and I upgrade to a 300+ gallon super tank!

Im actually excitied about it, always wanted a frag tank but wife says heck no so i have to incorporate it into this new build to keep it on the dl and away from the wifes eyes!

haha, sounds like me with the gf.. I just have to buy stuff and start working on it by the time she sees it, she is usually up for it.. She is finally coming around to loving the tank.. for example the other day I walk in the room and she has both hands in the tank fixing a frag that fell and just doing random cleanup.. I loved it..

Cant wait to see a pic of your plan, and even more the actual thing..

lol same with my wife shes startign to come around, at first she wouldnt even look at it, now shes feeding them for me. Lol im aspiring to get her to do what your gf does, maybe she will with the next tank.

Haha i feel so bad, I slightly flooded my neighbors wash room last night, I was making some top off water and totally forgot about it. Im freaking out, i told her the problem was resolved and it was the washer hose that busted from age. She believed me and I told her I would get some mold spray for the just in case. Uggg!

well upon further thinking this is what im propsing now. the 2 tanks on each side of the main 30g. 1 will be a fuge the other on opposite end will hold the equipment and the main middle tank which will have drain flow to it will house the frag tank and a return pump. Figured since I will have a sundial t5ho to go over it would be a great idea. What you guys think and yes pics will be up tonite

lol guys heres some pics, im slightly intoxicated so this is best for what I can describe the new setup. The arrows are the direction of the drain into the frag tank, the overflow from main tank will also drain into the frag tank. The tanks on both sides are the 10g which 1 will be a strait fuge, the other to hold heater/skimmer/reactor. The middle frag tank while house 3 shelves and a sundial t5ho 36inch light to propergate the corals WOOT!
