Dexter (Our parrot)

This is Dexter, we've had him for about 6 months now. Noisiest thing, only when he wants attention or food... haha

He will go crazy watching other birds on the phone/computer. Just bringing these up (to post) woke him up to chirp in a few times as I type this up. :

Then this is his second favorite thing to do, he is a clean bird!

We have an African Gray, Talk about noise OMG!!! this crazy bird imitates just about every sound there is, She sounds just like the telephone I have to look at the caller ID to see it it's her or an actual call, same for the doorbell, microwave, cellphone, She imitates my wife perfectly and it drives the dog nuts by saying "Who's Hungry" the dog thinks its time to eat.

 

very, very cute zesty! Obviously you're an animal lover! I have never seen a bird take a shower let alone get into taking a shower like Dexter! Too cute!

MD, That's basically what I'm waiting for. He's going to catch on pretty soon. I've seen another macaw that would do that. It's amazing what they pick up and understand, but then it's usually about food. hahaha

This bird loves water, he was trying to take a bath yesterday in his water bowl. He basically tells us when it's time for him to take a shower.

The first time he wanted to play "I'm going to swing backwards and upside down" while holding onto my hand scared the crap outta me. Then I just realized he was playing, now if I bob my head back he goes with and upside down. too funny

 

African Grey was my first choice, although I think Dexter would love a brother/sister...
Dexter just came up on craigslist one day and we were sold. He is an Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot.

 

I used to have a meyers parrot, such amazing creatures, and friggin brilliant too!
