I have a diamond goby with great personality and I really like him. But, my tank looks like a snow globe! He keps the sand white, but stirs it up in the process. I don't run mechanical filtration, would that help?

No the filtration will not help. The sand will settle in time. But the gobies entire job is to sift the sand so if you want it to stop move out the goby. I love diamond gobies so I would keep him if I was you. They are one of the best workers in a tank IMO.

My goby makes a mess to, but not as much as it used to. I put some small shells on the bottom as new homes for my hermits and noticed he didnt make as much mess; So I put a few larger sea shells and that helped as well.

Thanks guys. Think I'll try the shell thing. I really don't want to get rid of him.
