Diamond Goby question

do Diamond Goby eventualy stop trying to jump out
i would like to know this i might buy one in a couple of weeks ( soon Ro unit comes this friday along with new bulbs and other stuff)

 

Nope, I don't think so.....mine jumped after quite awhile for absolutely no reason that I could tell.

I've never had one make it past a day, 3 of them have jumped out to become fish chips, I now buy dragon gobies, a.k.a. brown barred goby

 

I had one and never jump out he was always hiding under the rock and came out to eat! Now when i was adding more live rocks he had jumped out cuz he was scared other than that i had never seen one jump out for no reason!!

I had one in both my reefs and never really had an issue with them jumping. Sadly though one night my brothers cat decided it want to see if it could catch stuff in the tank and scared him well he was cat food and the cat was well banished from the family room for life. I did replace the goby and he did very well. sadly I had to sell off my tank contents because of moving but I am dying to restart a new tank here in MA.
