I saw that on the sandbed i have a few patches of diatoms, nothing major but i dont want it to get worse..My trates are at 15ppm, i dont know my phosphate but it cant be that bad, since i do weekly 5g water changes in a 29g..I have 150w MH lighting, and i just moved the tank into another room, could this be the problem?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Diatoms need silicates. So if you have not bought any new equipment or are introducing them on purpose it may be cyanobacteria.

Cyano comes in all sorts of colors, black, brown......

This is the tank that has been running awhile right?

You usually only see diatoms right after the cycle or when you put a new piece of equipment in, like adding a sump, skimmer, power head.

no, i took down the tank on Teusday, my mom made me move into another room and i had to take the tank with me..It was out of water for about 2 hours after draining it, selling a few things and setting it back up..Its been up and running fine though since then..

I have no added anything new to the tank besides a few corals.
