My condy anem has developed a weird slimey film on its tenticles. It looks healthy, it opens and closes on a regular basis to rid itself of waste. It just looks dirty. My water is also kind of cloudy. I did a water change, and checked my params, every thing looks ok. any suggestions?

I am more concerned with your water being cloudy than I am with your condy having some slime on him. If the anem shrinks, moves or shrinks his foot I would be concerned. The cloudy water sounds like a bacteria bloom. Can you tell us more about your tank, your parameters and maintenance.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would really like a picture of the anemone and a full tank shot.

Is this particulate matter kicked up by a water change, that attached to the anemone?

Normal dusting appearance some times found with condy?

Or a sign of stress with resulting mucous?

its a ten gal aquarium, hes the only thing in there. This is his temperary home for a few months until I go home and put him in my seventy five gal tank. I have a 40 gal hang on back filter, I do water changes about every two weeks. I check my params at least once a week. I thought the anem shrinking and expanding was how they rid themselvs of their waste and was a sign of good health?

Your right it should expand and deflate ( so to speak ) routinely.

Need a picture though to see if the anemone is stressed. Sometimes I know I have worried about things that were perfectly normal for a specific animal, so a picture is really the only way to tell and a macro shot if possible.

heres some pics of the nem. He's doing alright, but the water keeps getting more and more cloudy. Check my pics on the general reef forum.

Looks like a healthy anemone IMO, but you have something going on with the tank, based on your cloudy water post. If it is an bacterial bloom, that can cause real problem as the bacteria will consume the available O2. Adding flow to the tank, using some new carbon and testing parameters would be the way I would proceed. If the ammonia level is elevated, it will create real problems.
