nice, i was planning to do the same thing to a different size tank. can you tell us what type of acrylic you used and where you found them? i'm assuming because it's basically just for baffles it's okay to use the menards/home depot type acrylic right? also, how many inches did you give the acrylic so as to not put pressure on the glass if it flexes due to water pressure? thanks and very nice craftsmanship!

    It's coming along great!

Can we see the lights over the tank? How will they be mounted/hung? :)

Anything that is black in my tank builds is ABS plastic and only the clear material is acrylic. ABS is reef safe, can be bonded with common acetone with no hard to find WeldOn product needed and is very easy to work with as it machines on my CNC mills very nice and I have hundreds of pounds of it in thickness from 1/8" to 1/2" thick.

Yes I would have no issue using an extruded acrylic for baffles and such.

Well I don't know if it will look that good but thanks! I want to be able to disconnect the fixture from the drivers and other wiring so I am trying to figure out the best workable solution to do so. I would love to be able to use USB connectors but I don't believe they can handle more than 5v's so I will have to look at something else.

I took at few minutes yesterday at lunch made these up in SolidWorks and machined them out of 3mm acrylic. I have magnets for them and hope to get them resin cast and on these frag racks this weekend.
