    I will be trying this tomorrow. My plan is to add corn flour (starch source), glycerin (molecular lubricant), vinegar (amylopectin dissolver), water (hydrolysis element) to sauce pan and heat till a gel then add to a baking tray as a thin layer and bake at 160 degrees C for 5-10 mins and allow to cool for 12 hours then smash with hammer and try pieces in my zeo reactor.

    No explosions... this is how you can make organic polmers: Make Potato Plastic!

    I won't be doing the pressure cooker method - guarenteed to cause an explosion...

    I have still got my eyebrows... I was having problem with the recipe, it is requiring a lot of tweaking to get it right. The first 'bioplastic' I made looked more like biosilicone, got a rubbery consistancy for a while. Now I've got it to turn to a hard bioplastic on the outside of the bioplastic sheet but still like rubber where it hasn't set properly in the middle. Looking at heating it for longer in the oven to get it to become harder. Results are very promising so far.

    I am going to use it in the reactor and let it biodegrade to feed my bacteria.

    I have been busy with work recently, haven't done a massive amount with this recently, will give it another go tomorrow, going to try to make round pieces tomorrow.

    The ingredients;

    The thin pieces of plastic after 6 days of drying, the plastic has gone quite clear and the thicker pieces have gone very hard;

    Just put in the the bacterial fermenter and it instantly sinks so no need to add anything to the mix to try to sink it...

    Now to add the bacteria to find out how quickly it degrades.
