Anyone ever made a canopy for a bowed shaped 46 gallon? I can construct the canopy for the most part just I am stumped as to how to make the bow shape. Any advice would be great!

    Thanks

I have actually made several hoods for bow front tanks...

First what material would you like to make the hood from?

I have used ABS plastics, Plexi, MDF, and a few other wood types. Let me know what you are planning to make the hood from and I will attempt to steer you in the right direction :)

Would love to show off a few, unfortunatly all of the hoods I have constructed over the years were on tanks (and friends tanks) that I had while living in Minnesota years ago :(

I currently have a 90 Bow, I'm am using the plastic cover that came with the tank, but I constructed a custom light rack that fits underneeth it instead of fabricating a new hood. This option has worked very well for me with this tank.

If you would like to see pics of the lighting rack, I'll be happy to post them.

make it out of laun just cut the bends in a 2x8 or 2x10 and when you have the right curve tack laun over it. you can also lamanate it later if you want a diffrent textrue or finish.
