    might try car interior leds next as bought afew for the car - they're well cheap approx 99p for 3 real hi output in a fitting- 2 fill the car with crisp blue lightso i'd imagine 3-4 would be more than enough for the best moonligth effect ever!! i may try it watch this space

    I went to my LFS today and the owner showed me these new led light fixures he was using on one of his tanks. It only had like 10 leds on each fixture, but 2 fixtures was more than enough light for a 200gal. He said they were like $700 a fixture. Next time I go there I'll find out what brand and some more details. I'll keep watching this thread to see your LED invention.

    brand will be good as if i can find the type of LED''s it uses I can probably knock something up in one fixture for aroud £50 (roughly $100) - prices of pre made led fixtures take the monkey out of everyone! -if i get round to it willpost a step by step and results on here
