    Im torn between a good ATI sunpower fixture, and a DIY led.

    So I was looking threw the LED's, and Since my tank wont be SPS dominate, I was thinking I could get away with 30 Leds on each side of my tank, so 60 total.

    Should I add a couple reds, greens and the other colors that they have?

    After so many researches I got this
    Cree XM-L t6 cool white best for today led in white source
    Cree XT-E royal blue
    Cree XP-E Blue
    build 1-3-1 give you best main light + 1 deep red and green on whole panel optional

    honestly, you now say no sps BUT......! I'd consider the 36 at least if not 48 led system because you're gonna want 2 heatsinks for spread! then i'd consider adding a 8 to 12 uv kit! Try to do more blues than whites

    so for 36 maybe;
    20 blues(12 rb's 8 blues)
    16 whites (10 cw's, 6 nw's)

    if you're laze like me get the plug and play so you don't have to solder and can easily swap the led's out as tech improves!

    look into the boostled typhoon controller! cheap and awesome!
