a pvc 1 would wor on a ten gallon just use 1 inch pipe ;D also you might have to hook up a priming pump to it to continsually get a shipon

    +1

My sentiment exactly. I prefer the CPR Continuous Siphon models with a Tom's Aqualifter...buy the deluxe model that comes with the cover!

I would recommended anything that uses a U tube, and not a Weir (like the CPR). The CPR has so many ways it can fail, not the least of which is the required mechanical pump. Without it, you can't (due to design constraints) keep a siphon going for an extended period of time.

A U tube just won't fail if maintained and used properly - enough flow needs to go through it, then bubbles will never stick inside.

Also, if this is a new tank, I would get it drilled. You can definitely drill a small tank; my 2g frag tank is drilled.

is their a need for any pumps if my tank is drilled does it depend on gravity? where would you recommend drilling it bottom or back?
