Ok so I've made an overflow out of 3/4 pvc. It works...but the flow is crap. Roughly 50gph and that may be a generous estimate. What could be the problem? Should I redo it with 1" pvc?

hey here's an idea...install the check valve in order to remove air bubbles that get caught in the siphon. See what that does...

    Quadruples the flow...

ok so initial excitement over the valve is over. It did increase my flow but not nearly as much as I first thought. More like doubled it, but that's still only 90-100gph. Shooting for 150 or so. I'm almost tempted to just get two pumps. One to suck water into the sump and one to push it back up to the display LOL.

Running two pumps like that would be rough. I would not advise it. Can you post some pictures of you overflow you made? maybe we can offer advice
