    Oh never mind about all this guys. I got it figured out. I did several test power outages and everything is fine. My overflow is the kind with a U-Tube and it doesn't lose it's siphon when the power goes out (I did not know that). Also my sump has MORE than enough room to handle the extra water load during an outage. I don't have any snails right now (bad bad I know), so I don't have to worry about them climbing into my overflow and interrupting anything. However I do fully intend on making a screen to go over the intake of the overflow just to be safe. Although when, I'm not sure (again, bad bad I know).

    And yea I was gonna use the float switch to turn off my pump if the siphon was lost. But again like I said, (I know Murphy's Law) I'm not at a big risk for that to happen....I think....I hope.....
