    ok i finally have my tank stable and the water is fine but i have some loss from the sudden change in ph.everything is healthy again but these ones.

    dead tips but i think it'll make it

    badly receded but i think will be ok

    i have no clue if it'll make it

    only the mouths are left

    one of 2 echinophylia chalice that will not recover from badly receding
    [​IMG]
    half died but it has new growth

    pavona with no chance of recovery
    [​IMG]
    hydnophora just about gone
    [​IMG]

    calcium 440
    magnesium 1380
    alkalinity 11.5dkh
    ph 8.2 brought down from 8.6 suddenly
    salt 1.025
    everything else at zero

    Forget all the additives and forget all the tests.

    Routine water changes will do all for you with a good salt mix.

    Only thing that may need adjusting is your Ca, which will depend on what kind of tank you keep.

    All kinds of ways to safely do that.

    thanks and i agree.i did alot of water changes and the ph would not come down so i brought it down and too fast.from here on out i will only do the water changes.anything that was not strong enough to make it through this problem will be replaced by easier corals to care for.i'm looking to replace most of the lost coral with mushrooms blue,purple,and red tongan.i'm also done using red sea test kits.on a brighter note,all my other corals are doing most excellent.some better than ever
