    Ok, change of plans. I'm going to just paint it black instead, price of nice cheery or oak luaun is way up there. instead i got some nice pewter pulls and hinges that will look good, and save me having to use duct tape! i think I'm going to take the money i save and buy a good digital camera so i can take pics of my beautiful canopy and stand lol. Any suggestions? maybe $100-$150 range?

    Oh wow, please post a pic when you finish. It looks good i think.
    My bf snatched an antique desk out of our trash one night, my step mom threw it out.
    Now, shes one of those greedy people who, if you can make a buck off it, she wants in on the deal.
    So he tore it up and rebuilt a beautiful fish stand for me.
    When he told her that it was her old antique desk and had she not thrown it out he would have paid her for it.....OH MAN! You shoulda seen her face! She was P!$$ED!!!!
