    Hey guys,

about to set up a couple of the dosing pumps from bulk reef supply for their two part system.

Just wondering, the tubing they provided isn't long enough, it appears to be just standard airline tubing ... can I use that?

Just not sure if its some kind of specialty tubing because of the chemicals going through it ... or if I can use some standard airline in it?

Standard airline tubing is fine. The stiff tubing sold for RO/DI applications is good too.

    alright sounds good.

It came with a few feet of each, softer airline style tubing, which is clear in color and it came with a length of a more rigid, opaque style of tubing as well.

    thanks for the input!

I used the rigid tube from my chemicals to the pump. I used the softer tubing from the pumps to the sump. I don't suppose it matters what's used for either, though. It all comes down to what's easier to route for your personal needs.

    excellent, I appreciate the help.

I'm going to head out to a home improvement store and pick up some hosing of similar size and rigidity. I have to run it about 15 feet, so the more rigid, the less likely to kink etc.

    thanks again sparky!
