Has anyone purchased this dosing pump system? I was wondering what the reviews on it were like. Should I get one of these or can I use an Aqua Lifter on a timer? The only thing that worries me about the Aqua Lifter is that it pumps the liquid through the tube pretty fast and if I'm going to use it for a two-part system it'll need to be much slower. The Aqua Lifter pumps 3.5 gallons per hour (220 mL per 1 min.). Any suggestions?

I have never seen that. I use 2 BRS dosing pumps. I love them.

Yeah, this is me being cheap. I don't want to fork up the $85 per pump plus a timer. I think I'll need four pumps, one for Calcium, one for Alkalinity, one for Magnesium, and one for Kalkwasser (top off). I think I may get the Aqua Lifter and use a ball valve to control the flow rate along with a timer.

You really dont need one for Kalk or MG. thats just a waste personally. Kalk can be dripped with a simple airline and small ball valve. If you get your dosing right, you wont even need Kalk. I know I dont need it.

I wanted to use Kalkwasser because it helps precipitate PO4. Kalk will be in a 5 gallon bucket next to the tank so it will need a pump. With my high SPS bioload I go through Calcium chloride and Baking Soda quite quick.
