    i do it old school i use a drip container for reptiles holds 1 gal i mix kalkwasser daily for all my tanks and drip it overnite when most residents are asleep and not effected its nprobably not as good as a calk reactor but i manage to maintain cal in the 450 range and i have 7 clams in my one tank clams are calcium hogs but it still keeps in the 450 range

    I think I will stick with the good old dosing, with kalk in my top off... I want to be more automated, but I don't want a glitch/black out doom my tank. I want to be responsible for it's wrong doing (god forbid).

    I just use seachems salt for reefs. Then dose twice a week, seachems calcium, iodine, alk buffer, ph buffer (rarely), kents essential elements, and stron moly.
