I just had a idea, if the gab between your islands is to big to find a live rock branch to span.. take a acrylic rod and run in though a few nice chucks of LR. probly need a 1/2" masonery bit to drill though a few pieces.. Im sure you've got the tools in your garage to build a ark, evan.. lol

Hahahahah....love the pic!!! That is a good idea with the rods. I will have to see how big the gap is when I get done. I am only going to move a couple a week. Dont want to shake the balance too much.

bigger the gap, more rods you can have.. imho.. maybe 16-24".. could do two rods and have them going different angles. probly would reef exopy the rod ends good to islands..

Definately a thought!!! There is one rock on top that I am scared to move. It is the one in the pic with the arrow that is going to move to the left top. My Monti Cap has grown over to it and attached. I am very worried about having to snap that piece off when I move that rock.

Here are some pics of my double island. They are kind of old. I have since removed the rock in the middle connecting the two islands and added a huge peice to the right side. I will get some updated pics up tomorow. I love the two island look.
