So after obsessing over this guy for almost 2 months at the LFS I finally decided to go for it. Put him in last night. Saw him out by a burrow earlier in the evening. However one of my rocks fell off and I had to move his rock a bit to reorganize things an he has since found a new spot which I haven't yet discovered.

I know these types of Goby's can take a long time to get settled and actually show themselves on a regular basis. My Yashe for example took about 3 weeks before he would come out, so Im expecting something simillar.

Anybody have any advice or experience with this awesome fish? Also I have been wanting to put a Randalls Pistol in my tank to pair with my Yashe for sometime now. My Blue Dot Jawsfish had other plans about a month ago when he decided to make a quick meal out of the little guy. And then about a week ago previously mentioned Jawsfish decided to jump, so he is no longer with me. So while that sucks now I can add the shrimp without worrying that he will become a quick meal.

Is it possible to add two Randall's in hopes that they each pair up with the Yashe and Dracula?

Oh and just one more thing that I think is super cool. My friend added a Yashe about 4 days ago to his 55. Today he sent me video of the Yashe and his Yellow Watchmen sharing a burrow! I thought this was the coolest thing ever. I wonder if it will last. Has anyone seen or heard of two different Goby species pairing up like that?

My diamond goby and aurora goby slept in the same burrow for about 2 weeks. But once I added the pistol shrimp, the aurora kicked the diamond goby out!

It's a neat looking goby, but I don't know if they are worth the huge price difference from a hi fin goby that almost looks the same.

If you add 2 shrimp, I bet at least 1 will pair up with a goby. You have a great chance if 1 does, the other will pair with the other goby.

I certainly understand where you are coming from. The Hi fin, at a fifth of the cost is stunning in its own right. However, I simply couldn't resist.

As long as you like it, that is all that matters:)

I bought a hi fin on a whim, as it was only 10 dollars. It's been in my sump for a year, and when I catch it, a fellow 3reefer that is a local will put it in his 40g. He only has corals in that tank, and no fish, and doesn't want a big pooping fish, so the hi fin will get the attention it deserves in his tank:)

Those gobies are neat little guys with a lot of personality.

Just a quick update for anyone who cares.

So its been about a week now and everything is going great so far. The Dracula Goby actually paired up with my Yasha Goby! I have to say it is the coolest fish thing that I have ever seen, lol. The Dracula also seems to have acclimated very well. Today was the first time that I was able to see him eating. He had a very good amount to eat. He also has started to venture further and further out of his shared burrow. I will post some pics later. Cant wait to find them a Randalls Pistol to share.
