Dr.Frag, I hate that about kids and especially elementary schools. Passing kids onto the next grade to satisfy his/her parents, or to get him our of your hair, is just stupid. It's extremely unfair to give a kid an award or something when he doesn't deserve it.

For example, people think I'm flippin' brilliant because I got a 31 on the ACT. Some people in my graduating class got 13's on it, and I got an 18 when I took it as a seventh grader :p Getting a 16 or above only requires common sense and logic, something they don't teach at school, but alot of people need to be taught it. It irks me to no end.

Anyways that was really funny and I hate people sitting in a car doing anything BUT driving. Eating something, talking, messing with their hair, all that stuff. I bought a manual transmission car as my first car so that I could avoid all of that. I keep my focus on the road where it belongs. The radio can take most of my hearing away from me, but all the other senses are at work while I drive, with some of my hearing focused on things other than the radio as well. Living among the stupid is difficult at times...but it is something all of us must do. ::)

This is why my kid goes to a private school. The don't get around there because they want everyone to feel super hunky dorey. "yes ms. johnson your kid is a moron but atleast he's trying, we'll pass him on to 4th grade and see if he does better" (btw I"m not wealthy by any means of the imagination, I'm sure I'm closer to the poverty side) but I do want the best education for my kid that I can possible get and I will do without some things to get her that. Sorry for hijacking but I do hate the public school system. Too much PC

Not to mentioned, the kids today have no imagination. Everything is either on the computer, hand held games or texting. What happened to Legos and creating your own designs and making up things? Making something out of nothing. PC? Im so tried of PC. PC is slowly taking away our 2nd ammendment. What happened to freedom of speech? Has anyone seen that commercial about not say " thats so gay"? Whats wrong with say that? I dont give a flying rats azz if someone gay said "thats so heterosexual". Dont even get me started.

    agreed

I hate seeing kids walk around at the store, in parking lots, in malls, etc. with gameboys. When I was a kid, my folks would never let me do that. I saw one kid walk into a shelf / aisle endcap becuase he was too involved in his gameboy and fell flat on his butt. I laughed pretty hard at that one. Kids are wussies nowadays and should be more interactive and creative. The PC BS also pisses me off.

We live in a nice large neighborhood with 3 ponds and all that stuff, with about 4 miles of road. When I was in elementary school (during the summer), my parents let my brothers and I roam the neighborhood and explore, and that was much better than anything I would have found to do at home. By the time I was 16 I could build a model airplane, solder and install the electronics, and have it flying. Other kids that age were busy working hard getting their level 70 warrior onto planet LaLa.

Living someone elses adventure is fun, but making your own is priceless.

Haha it's a good skill to know. Knowing how to fix stuff will save you tons of money. My parents get me to fix as much as I possibly can.

Once you get a car, try doing the simple maintenance yourself. It'll increase your know-how and I personally think it's fun. :)

That was good Jason. Thank you. I needed to laugh.

There is braille on some tubes of ointment that go through the pharmacy. We have joked it is for the benefit of the blind checking pharmacist.
