I really like ATT. I have used them since like 2000, when they were called cingular.

I hate apple products though. When I am ready to upgrade to a phone like this, I will probably not get an iphone. I don't like the good apps that all cost $$, a battery that can't be replaced, and well, because it is an apple.

I have been with AT&T since before they were cingular, and I don't care for them.

The straw that breaks the camels back about AT&T is that they will not let you buy an Iphone unless you get a plan with unlimited internet access... this really pisses me off because the Iphone can connect to Wifi networks, so they are charging you to use your own internet connection. They might as well bill you for the air you breath too.

They have only been cingular a few years.

Apparently if you know someone that is smart enough to "unlock" it, you don't need that $$ plan.

barbianj here on 3reef did exactly as I am talking about and he does not have the big dollar data plan.

All companies have their pluses and minuses. Some you can get arund, others like a poor signal around where you use it you can't do anything about, besides getting a different phone as some are better at picking up signals than others.

I love the idea of the Moto droid, but I would never go to veriszon due to garbage signal coverage around here.

Im just stocked ill finally have a full web capable phone thats not a blackberry, which i hate

    Iphone is the gold standard.
ATT is horrible. I've had Sprint, Tmobile and ATT.. can't wait til my contract is up I'm probably gonna get the Newer iphone of the day, unlock and jailbreak it and use Tmobile. There's an estimated 700,000 iphone users on Tmobile.
(it voids your warranty from what I understand but I don't care)
Also with a jailbroken phone you get internet tethering.

    Why don't you like att?

I have never had an issue with them. Friends that have had other carriers have had lots of coverage issues that I never have had.

Thanks for the info on that one....

If you can write a review on it and post it in The Bucket.

If you live in a big city then AT&T would be ok, but start traveling and you will see why most don't like it. I have traveled from the Atlantic to the Pacific working on robots and Verizon is by far better coverage.

    Just my $.02
