Droid>>>> Anyone???

Not true. I got my wife one last week. No data plan. She uses my wireless connection at our house to download stuff. Once she leaves it wont let her connect to anything, but all she does is play games and listen to music, which she downloads when she is home. But if you have access to a wifi you can use that. Dont listen to that crap they try to tell you at the AT&T store. You do not need to buy a data plan.

 

AMcarrig, are you registered on Myverizon? if you aren't I think you can register on there and be able to get a new phone every 1 year instead of two. Somehow I got this membership years ago from verizon so I could get a new phone every 1 year and someone told me you can get it just from signing up on verizonwireless.com

 

1st.. Considering VZW has released their Droid line up along with all the commercials telling you how bad the iPhone is, I seriously HIGHLY doubt VZW will ever get the iPhone.

2nd.. The Droid looks like a decent phone- but it's no iPhone 3GS killer.

I live in NJ.. with AT&T and 3GS I get excellent, full 3G service every where I go- except my house. My house is like a dead zone.

 

Well all I can say is, its super fast net comparable to qwest 1.5 dsl, its very easy to navegate, the apps are AWESOME, true its not an iphone killer but imo its better because it works like a phone (big problem with the iphone and blackberrys).
Battery seems ok not great
Did not come with any software or even a manual,thought that was weird
Set up for email and settings was a snap, just make sure u use backup assistant on your old phone and if u already have it make sure to update it before u disconect your old phone. You have to sign up for a myverizon account, free
