You have to remember DT's is Phytoplakton. Not Zooplankton. May corals such as Gorgonian, Brain, Anemones, Lets just say all SPS and LPS do not eat Phytoplancton. Mainly Soft corals, Clams, and any filter feeder eat Phytoplancton. So DT's has little benifit to Zooplankton eaters.
Still I feed twice a week with Liquid life (once my bottle runs out I'll be back to DT's) and twice a week with Rotifers ( a source of zoo)
Other sources of Zooplankton are Golden Pearls, Cyclop-eeze

J where do you get the rotifers? do you cultivate yourself?
And is there a site that tells you what corals eat what phyto/zoo?as to im not sure what to feed.right now I use DTs once a week and alternate zooplex/chromaplex every 3days.target feed Frozen brine once a week or so.

I am experimenting with a Kent coctail mix lately I use a teaspoon of each Zooplex,Chromaplex and Phytoplex ( I was using DT but ran out) I mix them together then add enough water from my tank to the mix to fill my turkey baster. I then target feed everyone with a small dose it has been working really well. My anemones do this dilation thing where the body expands but the tenticles contract during the feeding and the they get real happy after that. I am not concerned so much with the amount that everything eats because even when I target feed some of it drifts off into the water column.

    Here's a related article from
    Advanced Aquarist.

Check out the magnifications pics. Shows the quality of the stuff you're buying. The pics of the rotifers near the bottoms are not accurate, but they were there a week ago. I'll see if I can find some.

Anyways my recommendation is that you build you're own culture station. Culture you're own phyto, feed it to your Zooplan (Rotifer, artemia, mysis, etc.). I know people that dump 2/3 of their home cultures (of both zoos and phyto) into their tank.

Home culture stations are pretty simple, I'm actually setting one up. Keep a look out, I'll post the DIY.

A cheap alternative is reef chili. I got some on ebay awhile back and it works well and its pretty cheap at $23 for 1.5 oz bottle. Its lasted me several months. Makes it easy to feed not having to mix different suppliments to.
