My flame angelfish seems to be dying. I don't know what to do my parameters are fine. No ammonia no nitrates low nitrites. My wife said she observed "white stuff on the scales". It is just laying on the bottom of the tank. I have only had him for around a week. Can I do anything for him?

It seemed to get sick after I added my new koralia powerhead. It got up and swam away when I got close to it. But then went right back to laying on it's side

Chack for stray voltage mabe the korlia is zapping your tank...unnlikely since its new but its possible.you could un plug it for the time being...otheer thhen that turn the lights off and don't bug her....staying out of the room is better if its possible.

I am sorry for your loss. There is no safe level for nitrites. Make sure your nitrites are zero before adding any new fish.
