I added a six line wrasse yesterday and it was fine. This morning i found it between rocks and it had like a ball of mucus surrounding it. It is swimming but in circles with its tail bent. It finally found another hole and I havent bothered it since. Is this common or no? Any suggestion are appreciated.

i think they sleep in a mucus ball cuz there is one in my tank that i see every so often. what are his tank mates?? maybe hes getting beat up or picked on and stressing him out and everyone else is gunna ask for your tank parameters so you should post them too

tank parameters are all good. I only have tests for ammon, nitrite, nitrates.
I only have 2 clowns and a few hermits in the tank. He was swimming really strange though, thats what made me think something was wrong.

Its not recommended. IMO that would just stress the Sixline. If he is stressed out, thats the last thing he'd need. When you say "Perfect" params, what do you mean? We need numbers. ;) I used to have a Sixline, but he dissapeared one day and I haven't seen him since. (About 7 months ago)

I have the color coded kits and the best I can tell, Ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are at or close to zero.

In that case, just watch him carefully. And don't stress him out.
