    Hello,

Newbie..no doubt with a typical newbie type question (sorry)

I've searched this site, others and clicked on the various links for photos but still I'm not sure if I have a worm that is friendly and useful (in a tank) or a pest. If I had been gardening I'd swear he'd sneaked in from outside, he looks just like an earthworm to me. I bought some cured live rock today and he came out of it like medusa when I put the rock into my tank. He's brown, has circular ripples along the length of his body. Shrivelled up he's about 2 inches but was about 4 inches when stretching to come out of the rock. Can someone please tell me whether he should stay or go. As we speak, he has a buddy that just crept out of the same rock. (unlike some worms I've read up on, he's not shy to come out in the light.

    Thanks in advance

    Jill

    Thanks Amcarrig..

Here's hoping it's a positive addition to the tank.

    Cheers
