Ebay MH bulbs

any one ever use these ones?

yeah.......piece of sh*****.Don't skimp on bulbs ,especially halides

 

I know a guy that uses ebay bulbs on a 300 gal. SPS tank. He uses a PAR meter and says he has to replace them more often than good bulbs. I can't remember but I think he said 4-5 months. He gets good growth but the tank seemed a little lacking in color. It may be worth a look though since they're so cheap.

Usually most things on ebay are knock offs which is why the price is so cheap. I'm sure they work but they more then likely dont perform as they should.

 

Another problem with buying off ebay is I would be afraid they're not really new.. Heck I don't even trust some LFSs. I've heard of some less than honest stores using the bulbs a couple months then putting them back in the package.

 

you get what you pay for as they always say.

I have been using the 175 14 k from this seller for approx 6 mos..I seem to be getting nice color with nice growth,but I have only one piece of sps, and its grown a bit I'm the last couple of months. I don't have a par meter or anything else to compare it to,but they don't look bad...
