eBay mh question

I'm set on buying a 36' Halide 250 T5 HO Aquarium Reef Light Moonlights NEW - eBay (item 190432275828 end time Aug-29-10 18:19:40 PDT)
Of eBay. Anybody else have something better then this? The seller said this comes with a 5 year warranty and handmade.

 

Looks like low end parts throughout. Looks like steel housing so it the paint chips you will have a fixture that will quickly rust through.

What size tank do you have?

 

75g 32in tall.

 

Price wise you will not find anything to beat the ebay fixture, quality wise any name brand fixture looks to be better if not much better. You will want a fan to cool the fixture off also.

 

Will this be good for 2-3 years? In 3 years i'm moving to a 180g fish tank. Do you guys recommend leaving the glass on top of the tank? or should I take the glass off?

 

Glass off, fixture should be 8 inches above the water at least s you won't heat the water as much. Hard to say on the longevity. My guess would be most likely not.
