Oops, posted this in the wrong forum. How do I get it over to the correct one?

I had an idea that may work well and thought I should put it out there. When our Six Line Wrasse were spawning I felt helpless not being able to collect eggs before the Damsels devoured them. The spawning took us by surprise and we were not ready and the only eggs were collected by rinsing out the power filters and a lot of other debri was included.

I am now prepared. Most of you have seen the filter funnels used for paint. You can usually get these free. The car paint filters are made up of waterprood paper and a nylon strainer. There are different sizes but the standard strainer is about 100 mesh or 0.2 mm. The Wrasse eggs are very small, about 0.5 mm but larger than the filter mesh. So I now have a strainer to quickly scoop up the eggs. I can then hang the strainer, inside and on the side of my tank with the open part out of the water. This provides the environment water, circulation, heat and nothing can get them. If they hatch, I put food into the strainer. The strainers are free and can be kept handy and tossed if nothing hatches.

These strainers probably have a whole bunch of uses besides collecting eggs.

Will let you know how it works.

I don't know what that means either but smart thinking on the strainer.
