    I think it is a gimmick. What is wrong with a normal hose?

    I just bought one of these last week, and I tried it on some detritus.... Well that didn't work well. This think is NOT good for any sand bed. If you had a bare bottom tank, it would only be marginally useful. To me it was money wasted and i would not recommend it to anyone.

    No real power to suck-up detritus in a sand-bed...wouldn't recommend..
