I am setting up my new 350 at the end of this month, quick question.

In the tank will be primarily angels and tangs, one of the angels is my emporer angel who quite likes eating brain corals, torch corals and anything else soft and jelly like !

I was hoping to pop some stoney corals into the new tank for color and coral looks ?
Any ideas on how this would go ?

Sounds like your Angel may have quite a buffet.

As a favour I took him in of r a friemd, I never even thought about the corals in my reef tank, came home from work the next day and as if by magic, most of what I had, had done a vanishing trick.
The following day everything had gone, now I have had to buy a new 350 gallon system because he has out grown my 90 cube (my mate doesn't want him back and my missus won't let me get rid of him)
So much for doing a mate a favor.

    Angel emporer $0.
    Corals and snails - $600.00
New tank set up - $4000.00

    For everything else MasterCard.

    LoL

So is there a chance I would get away with stoney corals with him ?

    Or

    Am I running 2 tanks now ?

It really depends on the individual fish.
My bicolor went after my sps when I first introduced sps but since the first addition has completely backed off. I haven't had any issues since. That is just my experience. I've also heard that like mr. Bill said, quite a buffet.

Like mentioned depends on the individual fish. I personally havent had one, but I know at the LFS (they do servicing and maint too) they have had two brought back, one that would eat anything fleshy, and one that would chew at anything non rock. There's also just as many threads of people saying yes and no to sps eating angels over on RC. So the gamble it yours.

It's just a different area threads are posted. For the most part the same people see the threads.
Like I was saying, it will really depend on the individual fish. Each fish has its own personality. Any site that you look at and it says "with caution" is just a general average of that particular fish. Some fish will never touch a coral, others see the coral as a buffet. They could both be the same fish from the same part of the ocean and it all depends what the fish likes.

This is just what I did, not saying that its why my angel never touches any of my sps but I got when I got my first sps birdsnest my angel nipped at it like it was candy to a kid. I cut up a water bottle and put it over the coral for that day and the next. He will nip at new additions on occasion but I think it's just he realizes that it doesn't taste good. It is also a Bicolor angel and can't do as mug damage as a emperor.
It will have to be a wait and see type of deal. I wish you the best.

I was at the LFS today staring at an Emperor angel that I wanted to add to my tank. Then I thought about all my corals that I love. Such a pretty fish though.
