Endler's (Non)Guppy

    Picked one of these up for my 3 year old's 10 gallon tropical. Absolutely beautiful fish.

    He's too small to get a good picture of but if you google "endler live bearer" or "endler guppy" you can see them.

    Not on the Endler, but I did with the regular guppies. I used to do selective breeding with guppies many years ago so I know how out of hand they can become but that's part of what the educational purpose of the tank is to my son. Ye Olde food chain.

    So will you be eating anything from the tank as demostration, we are the top of the food chain. :)

    do you count Long John Silvers as a demonstration of eating fish?

    You know what might be interesting for your son to catch regular guppies from a pond for his tank(treat them first). I found some at a local park they that had slight tinges of color to them.

    Not a bad idea, I know a place that may have them not too far away.

    they pool in the shallows you can catch them with a net easily
