I would say definitely not. The tang alone is going to be too big for that tank.

It happens man.. you get to that stage where you really know that your maxed out and there is nothing you can do.. but think about a different tank lol... But I know you might want more but I think your good now. I wouldnt try and add any more... ya know... and the tang thing.. hell be good in there for a while... alot of people say that they will overgrow and yes they will just pay attention to when you know he needs a bigger home... Good luck..

I think you've got more than enough once those fish grow up. 7 chromis is a big group for a 72, I'm only planning on having maybe 8 fish total in my 75 hehe.

The general rule of thumb is one inch per three gallons. You probably already know this....and IMO this number is absolute top. I try for one inch per five gallons and am currently at 1:4, where I am going to stay.

It is not a waste issue either. It is an oxygen saturation issue. They simply run out of oxygen. Now you can swing things a little in your favor by keeping the SG a little on the low side (1.023 vs. 1.027 for example). You can use a very good protein skimmer and, most important, keep the internal flow up to par. I shoot for about 50x in a tank with softies and LPS. .....and one K-3 is always pointed toward the surface. My return is also close to the surface, so I am doing double duty. Surface agitation is critical.

So keep these things in mine when you are stocking. Inverts count some.....so be aware of how much you have there. They are not nearly as important but they do count. Also, when that tang gets bigger it is going to become an oxygen hog.
