I set up my ten gallon fuge and got it going, there is about six gallon of water in it, a clump of chaeto and a clump of gracilaria. For lighting I have a 13 watt spiral bulb equivelant to a 60 watt right above the fuge that I run opposite to my DT lights. Is this enough light?

That will work but the more wattage the better. What Kelvin is the bulb?(should be 3-7K) Also does it have a reflector?

+1 it will work. Given that it is only 6g of water, I don't know how important it is to have the reflector. Just make sure that you get the 6700K bulbs, rather than the more common yellower ones.

I just checked and its only 2700k. Is that a bad thing?

I think I'll get a higher k bulb next time I go to the store and maybe just go ahead and get the 23watt 100 equivalent instead

Would that be ok or does it necessarily have to be the exact wattage?
