enought light or no?

    i plan on getting a fishneedit 4 bulb 36" t-5 fixture but first i just wanna figure out some things. it would be for a 16" deep tank so do you think i would have enough light to keep some sps coral happy? also what bulbs would you recomend for it?

    That sounds like it should be fine. Are those high output or reg T5's ? If not HOT5's you might want them. I would suggest standard (2x) 54w nm actinics and (2x) 54w 10000k's. Depending on what look you want you could go with blues or UV's.

    EDIT: for brands you could go with GE, ATI, Geisman, KZ, &/or UVL bulbs

    It should work, buy 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 UVL Actinic White and 1 ATI Aquablue Special.

    thanks also just so i know what coral wont i be able to keep?

    I'll have to leave this for others to answer..

    I know this is more of a general idea, but on liveaquaria, you can look through corals and see what kinds are best suited for your setup. (according to: temperature, temperament, placement, water flow, lighting, & care level)

    most of the corals there just say high lighting but thanks i forgot about liveaquariua

    At 16" depth with 4 quality bulbs and reflectors you will be able to keep most anything anywhere in the tank imo.

    You should be able to keep just about any coral as long as you place it by its lighting needs. High light needing toward the top of your rocks.
